Cleansers

Here are my cleanser recommendations. I try to designate skin type for you. In general, if you’re on a budget, this is a good place to save money. Gentle Cetaphil or CeraVe work just fine. Cleansers are only on your skin for seconds usually. Having said that, many of us (including me) prefer something more fun or more elegant so there are several choices here. Also see the acne section if you have acne.

Normal Skin - Creamy, gentle and good for all but the most sensitive skin. Doesn’t foam. Barely detectable orange scent.

MD Forte - Glycare Cleansing Gel

MD Forte

Oily/Acne – Glycolic gel cleanser designed to be drying and formulated for acne.

Lemon Cleanser

Dry Skin/Organic - I use this organic cleanser as part of my own daily regimen. It cleans my skin but without stripping out all of my natural oils. Like many Eminence products, it has a very nice fragrance that's not overpowering or too longlasting.

Vanicream - Free & Clear Liquid Cleanser

Vanicream

Free & Clear Liquid Cleanser

$11.88

Available at your local drugstore at an affordable price. Price shown is approximate.

Very Dry/Sensitive/Budget - Very gentle. Free of dyes, fragrances, lanolin, parabens, formaldehyde, etc. Great for eczema and psoriasis.

CeraVe - Hydrating Cleanser

CeraVe

Hydrating Cleanser

$9.59

Available at your local drugstore at an affordable price. Price shown is approximate.

Very Dry/Sensitive/Budget - Very gentle. Great for those with eczema and psoriasis or multiple reactions to skin care products.

Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant

Dermalogica

Daily Microfoliant

$50.00

Learn more or buy now at our partner SkinCareRx.com

All Types/Scrub - I love this product because it is gentle enough to use 2-3 times a week, effective but not irritating. Contains rice grains. Don't get water inside the container.

Skin Medica - Facial Cleanser

Skin Medica

Facial Cleanser

$34.00

Learn more or buy now at our partner SkinCareRx.com

Normal/Dry - Another good cleanser but with travel friendly packaging. Does get rid of eye makeup and other stubborn makeup well.

Vivite - Exfoliating Facial Cleanser

Vivite

Exfoliating Facial Cleanser

$39.00

Learn more or buy now at our partner SkinCareRx.com

Scrub/Oily/Acne - Like the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, this has tiny, scrubbing granules. But this product is more intense than the Daily Microfoliant. Use 1-3 times a week max!
